Just 22 years of age, Jack has spent the last year hard at work, building quite a reputation for himself as both musician and performer. Since signing to XL Recordings, he’s released two singles (one selling out in days, the other denting the top ten), has got used to stage invasions on his sold out, successive UK tours, wowed Glastonbury, graced the cover of the NME and become a firm favourite out there in radioland. Despite this, he’s remained rather calm and unfazed by it all, keen to carry on doing his thing regardless.
Jack’s talent runs deep; he’s both a grafter and someone with a gift to write infectious and intelligent pop songs. Destined to eclipse what’s gone before, ‘Second, Minute or Hour’ features a heavy-hearted Jack and tales of a love forlorn (despite his best efforts to make it otherwise) and with it, he’s penned another classic.
Again, the artwork for this single has been created by Jack himself. As well as being made available as both a CD and download, ‘Second, Minute or Hour’ will also be released over two 7”s - one picture disc and a companion disc that’ll house both discs (in a now trademarked Peñate 7" sleeve with doors!). Worth mentioning here also is Jack’s stunning cover of Beats International’s ‘Dub Be Good For Me’, a staple of his live set and available on vinyl for the very first time.
Jack heads out on tour in September for seventeen dates around the country. Before that, you can catch him at the following festivals…
24th Reading Festival 25th Leeds Festival 28th T on the Fringe, Edinburgh 8th September Bestival, Isle of Wight
