‘Shatter’/’Tender’ - double A sided single – October 10th 2005
UK Tour dates – November / December 2005
Having scored a double-gold album with the acclaimed Pushing The Senses, and crowned another festival season by headlining Download and appearing alongside U2 and REM in the UK and Europe, Feeder are set to release a brand new single and announce details of a Winter Tour.
The new single is ‘Shatter’ released through Echo on 10th October. The track is a firm live favourite with their fans, so much so that 2500 of them petitioned for its release in the UK.
‘Shatter’, alongside the standout album track ‘Tender’, is used in the forthcoming 20th Century Fox movie ‘Nightwatch’ (Nochnoi Dozor) and the video (shot by famed video director Charlie Lightning) will be used in cinemas across the UK as a trailer for the film. Set in contemporary Moscow, ‘Nightwatch’ (Nochnoi Dozor) is a hard-hitting film based on the first instalment of the best-selling Russian sci-fi trilogy by Sergei Lukyanenko. ‘Night Watch’ (Nochnoi Dozor) is the biggest grossing film in Russian history.
The film has Matrix-like stunts including a 360-degree lorry stunt, which was re-enacted for the ‘Shatter’ video. The video, which includes excerpts from the film, is included in the DVD format of the single. Other formats include the new version of ‘Shatter’, the enhanced video for ‘Tender’, a ‘Making Of…’ documentary and a Roll Of Honour gallery which includes the names of all those that petitioned for the release of ‘Shatter’.
